  1. Dr. Elahi has recently secured a 5-year CIHR grant (2024-2029) to investigate the mechanisms of tumor progression and metastasis in breast cancer.

  2. Dr. Elahi has also been honored with an innovation grant from the Li Ka Shing Institute of Virology to explore mechanisms underlying HIV natural immunity during 2024-2025.

  3. Congratulations to Shima for receiving a CIHR-REDI Early Career Transition Award.

  4. Congratulations to Amir for receiving a travel award from the Canadian Society for Immunology to attend the annual meeting in Banff, Alberta, scheduled for April 2024.

  8. Dr. Elahi has received an Innovation grant from the Li Ka Shing Institute of Virology to investigate sex-specific immune and hormonal dysregulation in long COVID with ME/CFS (2025-2026).

  9. Congratulations to Amir for receiving the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry Dean’s Doctoral Award, the Li Ka Shing Doctoral Student Award, and the John & Rose McAllister Graduate Scholarship.

  13. Dr. Elahi was awarded a grant from CRINA (Dr. Heleen and Rod McLeod Research competition in Hematological Cancers) to identify emerging targets in the treatment of hematological cancers (2025-2028).
